Lasak

LASAK was founded in 1991 by doc. Ing. Zdeněk Strnad, CSc. and Ing. Igor Riedl, CSc. in Prague, Czech Republic. The company emerged from research cooperation at the Sklo Union Research Institute, where the founders had been developing new materials for artificial tissue and organ replacements.

In 1993, LASAK launched its first implant system, IMPLADENT, which gained worldwide recognition for its hydroxyapatite-coated titanium implants. The same year, the company also introduced synthetic bone replacement materials (BAS-0, BAS-R, BAS-HA) and PORESORB-TCP for bone regeneration.

In 2000, LASAK developed and launched the BIO-surface, the first bioactive, hydrophilic, nanostructured titanium surface treatment for dental implants on the European market. This breakthrough technology was soon adopted by leading worldwide manufacturers.

Based on 20 years of experience, LASAK launched the BioniQ implant system in 2013, offering a unique combination of properties while remaining simple and cost-effective. The company received the prestigious Czech Scientific Award 'Ceska Hlava 2010' for innovation in dental implant systems.

LASAK obtained MDR (Medical Device Regulation) certification in 2023 for its BioniQ dental implant system, ensuring compliance with the latest European regulations. The company continues to develop and manufacture dental implants and bone regeneration materials in Prague, selling to over 20 countries.
